for SUP paddler above 200lbs, the carver will perform whitewater freestyle moves such as linked cartwheels, that are not possible on any other SUP. this is because of its patent pending grab wings, which provide radical secondary stability and allow the overall volume to be much lower than a traditional SUP board.
by redistributing the volume to where it counts (the rails), riverskates have a different kind of stability, and a completely different feel in the water -- more in the flow (like a powder day on a snowboard) -- rather than on top of it.
